Kuba

Kuba bead artists in the Congo decorate woven raffia grass to make beaded belts and jewelry.  Braided old style Kuba belts are worn by dignitaries and leaders in the society.  Kuba artists also use beads on many of their masks which explain elaborate Kuba creation mythology.
