Clay Pots

 The gathering of water in many rural African cultures is a daily task that cannot be skipped.  Clay vessels are dependable because they are water-tight, can be repaired if cracked, and they keep liquids cool.  The clay artists of the Luba, Igbo, Mossi, Zande, Asante, Nupe and Bamana are world renowned for the artistic expression of these clay vessels.
