Description
The Metoko wood figures are defined by their highly abstracted forms including incised lines or dots. Though not fully documented, figures like this are used by a secret society known as Bukota, and these figures have no assigned purpose but could've been used for initiations, funerals, peace-making, and even during circumcisions of young initiates. Hand-carved Metoko figures like these are always a wonderful addition to any collection.
