3 Handmade Spearheads MATTER COLLECTION
Width: 1.5-2.5
Depth: 0.75
Description
This set includes three handmade metal spearheads, each with a distinct shape and surface character. Forged from metal and left with visible hammer marks, oxidation, and natural patina, the pieces reflect traditional handcrafting techniques and age-related wear.
The varied forms and finishes give each spearhead a unique appearance, making them suitable for display, study, or collection. Their elongated, leaf-shaped profiles are typical of functional spear points designed for mounting to wooden shafts.
Provenance: Matter Collection
From the collection of Margie and Phil Matter. Margie lived in South Africa, and later she and her husband Phil opened a gallery in Tucson. Everything in this collection was in their home for more than thirty years. Africa Direct recently bought the collection; at 95, Margie wants to share the things she has loved so much.
You are receiving all three spearheads.
