3 Prosser Strands Trade Beads Grab Bag
Description
Assortment of 3 strands of Prosser trade beads offered as a grab bag mix. Prosser beads are molded glass beads developed in Europe during the 19th century using a dry-paste ceramic-style manufacturing process patented by Richard Prosser. These durable beads became widely traded throughout Africa and other regions and are valued today for their historical significance and distinctive appearance.
This mixed lot may include a variety of colors, sizes, and forms, with each strand offering a unique combination of beads. Variations in shape, surface texture, and wear are consistent with age and historical trade use. Some beads may display patina, minor chipping, or manufacturing irregularities characteristic of antique trade beads.
An excellent assortment for collectors, jewelry makers, study collections, or display, with each grab bag offering a one-of-a-kind selection of historic trade beads.
You are receiving all 3 strands.
This strand is not intended to be a ready-to-wear necklace. Although the strand can be worn "as is," the string holding it together is not durable and may break with use. For this reason, we recommend that you restring the beads before wearing them.
