Ethiopian Coptic Painted Drum

Traditional Ethiopian Coptic painted drum, hand-crafted from stretched animal hide over a hollowed wooden body. This type of drum, known as a kebero, plays an important role in the liturgical and ceremonial life of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
