Face Beads 1970s India
Description
A striking strand of hand-crafted Indian face beads dating to the 1970s. Each bead features a stylized human face, individually formed and decorated in deep cobalt blue with black and white detailing. The faces are expressive and slightly varied, reflecting their handmade nature. The beads are rounded and strung together on an older cord, consistent with mid-20th-century production.
These beads are often associated with traditional Indian or African trade bead styles popular in the 1960s–70s, valued for their bold color, folk-art character, and collectible appeal. The surface shows light wear and minor irregularities, adding to their authentic vintage charm

This strand is not intended to be a ready-to-wear necklace. Although the strand can be worn "as is," the raffia holding it together is not durable and may break with use. For this reason, we recommend that you restring the beads before wearing them.
