Description
These unique beads come from fossilized Crinoids, commonly called sea lilies found on the ocean floor. The numerous calcareous plates make up the bulk of the crinoid, with only a small percentage of soft tissue. These ossicles fossilize well and there are beds of limestone found around the world. This strand is made from the disarticulated crinoid fragments.
