Fulani Blue Beaded Necklace Nigeria MATTER COLLECTION
Description
Fulani necklaces are integral to the traditional jewelry of the predominantly Muslim Fulani people in West Africa. These necklaces are emblematic of their rich cultural heritage and distinctive adornment style, often part of elaborate jewelry sets, these beads may be combined with other materials like cowrie shells or gemstones. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, Fulani beaded necklaces function as a form of currency, emphasizing their broader economic and cultural roles within the Fulani community. Passed down through generations, these items remain cherished heirlooms, encapsulating not just beauty but also pride, tradition, and a profound connection to ancestral roots.
