Ghana Handmade Powder Glass Contemporary Black White Trade Beads
Description
A wonderful strand of contemporary powder glass trade beads handmade in Ghana by Krobo artisans using recycled glass. These flattened, donut-shaped beads feature bold mosaic-style patterns inspired by historic Venetian and African trade beads.
Each bead is individually handcrafted using traditional techniques in which recycled glass is crushed into powder, placed into clay molds, and kiln-fired. The result is a strand with unique designs and a distinctive handmade character.
A beautiful example of modern African bead artistry, ideal for jewelry making, collecting, or display.

This strand is not intended to be a ready-to-wear necklace. Although the strand can be worn "as is," the string holding it together is not durable and may break with use. For this reason, we recommend that you restring the beads before wearing them.
