The wood has areas of cracking, splitting, abrasions, and losses, with heavier degradation visible around the top and back of the mask. There are numerous small holes throughout the surface, including areas of insect damage or previous insect activity. The original surface decoration and pigment are heavily worn and faded, with substantial losses to the painted areas. The facial features show general wear from age and use, including abrasions and surface losses. The interior is darkened and heavily worn, with additional surface deterioration around the opening
Overall Condition: Good. Most of our pieces have spent decades on at least two continents, and have been treasured by several owners.
