Metal Goat Bell Ghana MATTER COLLECTION
Width: 4.0

Description
Hand-forged metal bell used by herders in rural Ghana to help locate goats and other livestock while grazing. Attached to the animal’s neck with a leather strap or cord, the bell produces a distinctive ringing sound that allows animals to be easily tracked in the field.
Made by local blacksmiths using traditional forging techniques, each bell has a unique shape, tone, and natural aged patina from use. A simple and functional example of traditional West African metalworking.
