Old Akoso Powder Glass Trade Beads Ghana 34inches
Description
Old Akoso Powder Glass Beads. There are some yellow and black Rattlesnake Beads too.
These are often referred to as Akoso beads from Ghana, colorful, contemporary powder glass beads handmade by Krobo artisans. Akoso beads are known for their bright layered patterns, flattened donut forms, and decorative motifs inspired by older Venetian millefiori trade beads.
Vibrant strand of contemporary Akoso powder glass beads handmade in Ghana by Krobo bead makers using recycled glass.
Created using traditional West African techniques, powdered recycled glass is carefully placed into molds and kiln fired to produce richly decorated beads with unique character and texture. No two beads are exactly alike, making each strand distinctive.
Akoso beads are prized for their bold colors and artistic designs and are widely collected for jewelry making, adornment, and display.
