Baluch is a term commonly used to designate nomadic tribes of Western Afghanistan. They are also found as far north as the Merv Oasis in Turkmenistan, as well as in Eastern Baluchistan. They are primarily known for their weaving. Baluchi weavings are often rather somber in color, as most of the yarns use the natural color of the wool, black, brown, rust, beige, and white, with a touch of indigo dyed yarn.

These beautiful beads are characteristic of the Baluchi people. The holes are always very large, as the beads are often slipped on to hair braids. These beads come in a variety of sizes and weights, and are much sought after by collectors. These beads can also be found in Oman, as there is a sizable community of Baluchi guest workers in Oman.
