Silver Metal Prayer Beads Ethiopia
Description
Ethiopian Silver Prayer beads are used to count blessings and to thank animals, plants, and minerals of the Earth during prayer. The Oromo and Amhara tribes in particular still concentrate their faiths on naturism and holistic spirituality. Among the tribes, it is believed that every solid object contains a spirit and wearers use their prayer beads to ward off harmful spirits. Ethiopian Silver Prayer beads are also used during thanksgiving, repentance, and rites of passage, the Eid Al-Fitr, and Ramadan serving as examples.
