Sleeping Beauties Art Book

While many collectors build specialties within more generalized holdings, few have pursued this with the commitment and enthusiasm of Jerome L. Joss. His substantial collection of headrests - primarily from Africa, with smaller groupings from Asia and Oceania- is a promised gift to the Fowler Museum of Cultural History and will be a major asset to our collections. These headrests fill a niche with only been modestly occupied until now. They also significantly broaden our material from East and Southern Africa.
