Yaka Figure Standing Congo Rohner Collection

The Yaka Figure hails from the Congo, representing the spiritual beliefs and cultural practices of the Yaka people. Crafted with precision at 20 inches tall, these figures intricately detail the human form with symbolic elements like scarification marks and ceremonial attire, showcasing the Yaka tribe's rich heritage. Revered for their spiritual significance, they serve as conduits between the earthly and spiritual realms, employed in rituals and ceremonies for guidance and protection. Through these figures, the Yaka people maintain a profound connection to their cultural identity and ancestral traditions, preserving their cultural legacy while honoring their spiritual beliefs.
